		<description>In principle I agree with Mr. Batley&#039;s opinion that the outcome of this case in the light of Restorative Justice is in general a good one.  However I do believe that the payment of restitution needed to go together with more formal facilitation of the process which would have included addressing broader behavioural aspects with Mr. Roux.  As Mr. Batley indicated in his writing, this can leave one with the idea that in the absence of Mr. Roux addressing the behaviour that caused him to be arrested (aggression and substance use), one only needs to pay to compensate and therefore is not really required to change your ways.  Unfortunately this can leave people with the perception that if you have money you can buy your way out of the criminal justice system.
