Future Plans

• Consultations with all relevant external stakeholders and partners to discuss the handover of the direct service delivery component and NICRO’s capacity building thrust around victim support
• Finalisation of the minimum standards and the blueprint or toolkit for the establishment of community-based victim support services, which will include the development of good practice guidelines, the consolidation of all training materials, and the accreditation of the standardised programme and relevant training materials
• Finalisation of the minimum standards for Programmes for Perpetrators of Intimate Partner Violence, after which NICRO will focus on lobbying for buy-in of the standards by the Department of Social Development and other critical role-players so that these minimum standards can be adopted as official standards for the sector
• The development of a toolkit for Programmes for Perpetrators of Intimate Partner Violence for capacity building
